Partnership between the Foundation and FPA Asbl

We hereby take it upon ourselves to present to you what the subject matter is here on the sidelines.
Indeed, we are an Association called Foundation for the Promotion of Garlic; “FPAasbl” in acronym. Our association was created in 2012 and our radius of action is the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo; especially in North and South Kivu. Our areas of action are Food Security (Agropastoral, Fish farming, Miciculture or mushroom cultivation), training and support for the education of orphans, single mothers and people of normal school age, Environment by the Promotion and Protection of Ecosystems and their Biodiversity of the National Parks of Kahuzi-Biega (PNKB) and Virunga in South and North Kivu by monitoring and sensitizing the bordering populations of these two ecosystems through all our fields of action mentioned above.
Madam Director, it is with this in mind that we are requesting a partnership with your Foundation to realise our social, environmental and economic aspirations for the benefit of the populations living around our two Parks; all UNESCO World Heritage sites. This partnership will enable our association to contribute to the reduction of threats linked to natural and anthropogenic disaster risks contributing to climate change, impoverishment, self-sufficiency and unemployment of the residents of our two Parks and where one of them hosts two active Volcanoes, including Nyiragongo and Nyamulagira.
