PATRICE HUET
Patrice has been passionate about Earth and Universe Sciences from a young age. Originally from Reunion Island, he grew up with his head in the stars and his feet on the slopes of Piton de la Fournaise, one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
He completed his university studies at Reunion, Clermont-Ferrand and Paris (Jussieu), where he specialized in Geology, Volcanology and Informatics. Member of the Association LAVE (European Association of Volcanology, http://www.lave-volcans.com/) is co-founder of Sylvain Todman and Anne Fornier, of the association “Peuples et Volcans du Mundo”.
Museum reference of the transformation of the Maison du Volcan in the Cité du Volcan https://www.museesreunion.re/laciteduvolcan, volcanology museum on the Reunion Island, today he is the scientific director of this new scientific center.
Since 2021 VOLCANO ACTIVE FOUNDATION has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
