Passionate about volcanology, Sylvain Chermette is an specialist in active volcanoes and eruptive sites.

After his university education in Science and pedagogy along with his extensive experience as a guide, he resorted to «volcanic tourism» with his agency 80 Jours Voyages.

He is the author of numerous articles for the European Association of Volcanology, the Volcanology Society of Geneva and the Geological Society of France (Geochronique). He also collaborates regularly with local and French volcanologists.

Anne Fornier very quickly associated Sylvain with the creation project of the Volcano Active Foundation with which she shares her passion and experience.

Sylvain is the France ambassador of the Foundation.
